Canada
Prairie, ranch, mountain — Canadian Americana is its own animal.
Canada's Americana runs from Saskatchewan ranches (Colter Wall) to glam-noir desert country (Orville Peck) to a deep songwriter tradition that's older than most American scenes will admit (Ian Tyson, Stan Rogers, Gordon Lightfoot).
Look for: cowboy revivalism on the prairies, queer country in the cities, and a folk lineage that never had to be 'rediscovered'.
